Thunderbird 3.0 (latest trunk) has support for tagging messages. This is a really useful and awesome feature.
Any number of tags can be created and any number of messages can be tagged. In the screenshot you can see that I have created a custom view to display messages tagged as “Firefox”. The best thing about this tagging feature is that it works with local mail folder, RSS subscriptions, and support IMAP folders is being debated.
The feature can be tracked from Mozilla Wiki.
The update and build scripts from my software collection can be used for building the latest trunk.
