Here’s the latest offering from Yahoo! - Social Media Tools.

What are these tiny little thingies? From the Yahoo! Social Media web page:

Yahoo! now offers several free interactive tools for publishers,
bloggers, and podcasters — for anyone who creates content for the web.

Yes, all these icon’s are wired up to Yahoo! services. Here’s the brief description of each of these:

  • Saves this web page on Yahoo! My Web
  • Bookmark this web page on del.icio.us
  • Blog about this web page on Yahoo! 360
  • Send a link to this post as E-mail
  • Get an alert on Yahoo! Mail, Messenger, etc whenever a new (comment/update) happens to this post
  • Adds this web site’s RSS to the user’s My! Yahoo!

How easy was this to set up? Nothing. All I did was to make a call to the Yahoo! Social Media tools Javascript file (in the HEAD) and added these links with the appropriate class names in my post. All you need is very basic HTML knowledge for customizing these links.
